The oil market is partially controlled by traders, investors and speculators. The price of a barrel of oil is probably artificially inflated by $30 or $40.

I believe the gas prices as all market values anymore are controlled by the gov. guys.
All about money and profit.  I do think it is time we find a good alternative fuel and energy.

I am sure it that if we have all this technology that would be possible.  Wind, solar is a great option.

Then again it is wise to try and conserve on fuel and plan your trips.  If we do that and less people buy less gasoline, I wonder what would happen?

The worst thing is the rise in cost for heating homes in winter.  We have Petroleum in our area and is very expensive.
